The term \u201cReiki\u201d breaks down into two parts. \u201cRei\u201d roughly translates into \u201cUniversal\u201d and “Ki” into “Life Force Energy” (or, as some call it: God, Buddha, Chi, Qi, Prana, etc.).<\/p>\n

So, Reiki means \u201cuniversal life force energy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Reiki is “life force energy.” It\u2019s what flows through us. It\u2019s what makes us all alive. It\u2019s the breath that we take.\u00a0 Everything has a life force.<\/p>\n

It makes sense if your “life force energy” is low, then you going to be more prone to being stressed out, getting ill. If your life force energy is high, you\u2019re going to be happier and healthy.<\/p>\n

\"Learn<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 This energy also flows around us in a field of energy called the aura. Within us, it flows through pathways called chakras. It nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them in their vital functions.<\/p>\n

Scientific research confirms that all tissues and organs produce specific magnetic pulsations, which have come to be known as bio-magnetic fields.<\/p>\n

When this flow of life force is disrupted by stress or injury, it causes diminished function in one or more of the organs and tissues of the physical body. Reiki clears those pathways, so the life force can flow freely.<\/p>\n

\"Usui<\/a>Reiki acknowledges the spiritual aspect of life force, it\u2019s the interaction between the physical and spiritual.<\/p>\n

However, while we use terms like \u201cspiritual\u201d, Reiki shouldn\u2019t be confused with religion. There are no set group of beliefs or theology. You can bring your own religious understanding to it or none at all.
